Sue is currently serving as the Executive Director for the states of Minnesota (MNHIMA) and Georgia (GHIMA). Previously, Sue has served in a variety of volunteer roles for MNHIMA and received the Distinguished Member award in 2018. She has a passion for advocacy and previously held the office of Advocacy Chair for AHIMA and several other positions nationally.
Throughout the years, Sue has worked in a diverse group of healthcare settings, including Acute Care, Long Term Care, Durable Medical Equipment supplier, Pharmaceuticals, and others. Her primary focus is on Rural Health Care. She has worked in several critical access hospitals and focused on the needs of these communities ensuring that the rural communities had a “voice” at the table.
Sue is married with 3 children, eight grandchildren, and they are expecting their first great grandchild in a few months.
