Kevin Rathbun is the Outpatient Coding Supervisor in the Hospital Coding Department at WakeMed Health & Hospitals in Raleigh, North Carolina. In addition to supervising 15 outpatient coders, Kevin works closely with Claims & Billing, Coding Education and Clinical Documentation teams to insure accurate and compliant coding processes. Overall, Kevin has nearly 25 years of outpatient coding experience including the last 12 years at WakeMed.

Kevin holds a Bachelor of Professional Studies degree in Health Information Management from the State University of New York and obtained an Associate in Applied Science in Health Information Technology from Monroe Community College in Rochester, New York. He is also a credentialed Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA) and upstanding member of AHIMA.
