Ann Meehan, RHIA
Ann Meehan, RHIA, has over 35 years of progressive health information management and revenue cycle experience. Ms. Meehan led a corporate Information Governance (IG) Program and committee for a Nashville-based healthcare system for two-and-a-half years while serving as HIM Vice President for 10 years. Additionally, she served as an Information Governance Director for AHIMA IGAdvisors®, where she conducted IG assessments and developed IG tools and resources. Ms. Meehan served as Sr. Healthcare Consultant on Iron Mountain’s IG team, serving as IG subject-matter expert for customers. Ms. Meehan currently is an independent healthcare consultant and thought leader on information governance and enterprise information management. Over the course of her career, she has led multi-disciplinary teams in addressing quality initiatives, case management efficiency, centralized coding and HIM services, and other key information management and revenue cycle initiatives. Ms. Meehan is a member of MTHIMA, THIMA, AHIMA, and AHIMA’s Privacy & Security Practice Council. She is an accomplished speaker and author on topics including IG, value-based care, revenue cycle, and compliance. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Health Information Management from the University of Alabama at Birmingham.
