Learning Objectives:
- Understand Trauma PI
- Discuss required elements in a Trauma PIPS plan
- Review PI process: Event identification, analysis, determination, action planning & loop closure
- Review commonly made PI mistakes
- Introduce documentation of PI within the software
Session Description:
This class is a great place to start when beginning in Trauma Performance Improvement. During this session, we’ll give a general overview of Trauma PI, the purpose of building a strong PI program at your trauma center, and will review the specific steps in the PI process. This session also includes a brief introduction to how to document your PI processes within PaV5 software. This class can also be scheduled virtually 1:1 with Rebecca Geyer, Director of Performance Improvement, allowing you to take the course with other team members at your trauma center.
