PTSF | Level IV Trauma Center Role in Performance Improvement
Overview
Trauma education presentation on the role of a new Trauma Program Medical Director, specifically targeted toward TPMDs at Level IV centers. The educational session describes the TPMD role, importance of a PIPS plan, TPMD involvement in the PI process, and how to fully integrate into that process. Presented by Kathleen Martin, MSN, RN.
Learning Objective:
The learner will be able to fully describe trauma performance improvement, including the PIPS plan, audit filters, levels of review and loop closure.
The learner will have an increased awareness of PI software (PaV5), event analysis review, documentation of determination, actions and loop closure.
The learner will be aware of common PI mistakes and be aware of recommended best practices to begin to build a comprehensive PI program.
This session is approximately 30 minutes long.
