Kelly Cooper

Kelly Cooper is the regional HIM for Solaris Clinical Consulting, a job which sees her fulfilling duties such as Corporate Privacy and Security Officer; Corporate HIM Compliance Officer; HIM and HIPAA Trainer; ICD-10-CM coding auditor; and corporate training and oversight in all HIM tasks and roles. Ms. Cooper graduated first from Santa Fe College’s Associate of Science in Health Information in May of 2015 earning her RHIT and shortly thereafter the CCS credentials. Just a short time later, in 2018 she graduated from Western Governor’s University’s Bachelors allowing her to obtain the RHIA.

Ms. Cooper has an incredible passion for advocacy and mentoring, beginning to give back to her profession first through her role as the Senator for her Student Association and now through roles at all three levels of Health Information Management Associations including serving as Co-chair for the AHIMA Long-Term Post-Acute Care (LTPAC) Practice Council; a member of AHIMA’s Advocacy and Public Policy Council, as a FHIMA Committee Chair, and as nominee for President-Elect for her Northeast FHIMA regional association.
