Not only does it offer guidance and program information for Medicare and Medicaid beneficiaries, but buried in this website’s overwhelming amount of data and information is a treasure trove of guidance for coding, documentation improvement, and billing teams. Melissa Cartier, RHIT, CCS-P has been in the health care field for over 12 years. In that time, she has gained experience in multiple areas of both large and small organizations. In her current role as the PB Coding Education Specialist at North Memorial Health in Robbinsdale, MN she is responsible for coaching and training of coding staff, coding-related data analytics and developing coding policies and procedures. She has previous experience as an Adjunct Instructor at both St. Paul College and Anoka Technical College and is an AHIMA Mentor.
Katie O’Hearn, MS, RHIA, CCS-P, CRC is a versatile HIM professional and educator. Her background includes work as a Coding Supervisor, Trainer, Program Coordinator of an AAS HIT program, HIM Supervisor and ProFee Coder. Currently, she is the Provider Education Program Manager with Blue Cross Blue Shield of MN and an Adjunct Instructor at Anoka Technical College.
