Overview
This webinar will inform participants of the current state of affairs on Capitol Hill and across the federal agencies, including updates on legislative and regulatory affairs, with a deeper dive into several of AHIMA’s policy priorities including the MATCH IT Act of 2025, as well as opportunities to promote improved interoperability, data privacy, and the HI profession in the regulatory space. The session will also emphasize the importance of participating in grassroots advocacy and how to get more involved.
Learning Outcomes:
- Understand the current state of affairs on Capitol Hill and potential impacts on the health information profession
- Understand the current state of affairs across the federal agencies, including ASTP/ONC, OCR, CMS, and others, with an overview of rulemaking and policy action and anticipated future developments
- Learn how to get involved in AHIMA grassroots advocacy
