I graduated from Ferris State University with an Associate of Applied Science in Medical Records Technology and a Bachelor of Science in Health Information Management. I became a certified Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA) in October of 1994 and in September of 1997, I became a Certified Tumor Registrar (CTR). In 1999, I accepted a position with the Michigan Cancer Surveillance Program as a Quality Improvement Field Representative, where I was employed for 13 years. In 2012, I returned to the hospital setting working at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital in Ann Arbor. Finally, in October of 2014, I accepted a position as manager of the tumor registry for McLaren Greater Lansing, bringing me closer to my home in Laingsburg.
