Overview

The interoperability final rule was introduced in 2020 and enforces considerable compliance obligations on healthcare stakeholders, including providers, EHR vendors and HIEs. Despite the major changes of the rule, most healthcare organizations lag in awareness and preparedness for compliance. This session provides a comprehensive background and overview of the final rule and points out exceptions to the definition of information blocking. Speakers provide tips to collaborate with other departments and ensure long term compliance.
