Kimberly McDonald, a New Orleans native, is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Northshore HIM Solutions. She has recently obtained a Master’s in Health Information Management from Prudue Global University. She currently holds the following AHIMA credentials: Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA), Clinical Documentation Improvement Practitioner (CDIP) and Certified Coding Specialist (CCS). Kimberly has found her passion as a leader in the innovative world of HIM.

In her current capacity as the Corporate HIM and Coding Director for Curahealth and Cobalt Hospitals, Kimberly have gained extensive experience as a Director of Health Information Management for more than 10 years, and 5 years’ experience as an Inpatient Remote Coder. For 11 years, she has been a member with the American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA). She recently served as the 2019-2020 GNOHIMA President and is currently serving as the 2020-2021 GNOHIMA District Representative for LHIMA. Kimberly is dedicated and passionate about educating and proving to the healthcare community that the world of Health Information Management is a revolutionary and trendsetting entity that will continue to thrive and flourish.

All participants must have the CCS Exam Prep book, the 2020 ICD-10-CM and PCS code books, and the 2020 CPT Professional code book. Participants may order the CCS Exam Prep book from LHIMA with your registration (while supplies last) or order them online prior to the course. Books will be mailed to participants prior to the workshop.
