Kathy became the Director of Health Information Management at Largo Medical Center in 2013 and quickly moved to a Regional Health Information Management Director for HCA/Parallon in 2015, which is the position she holds today. Jessyca Dew, MBA, RHIA
Jessyca started her professional health information management (HIM) career in fall of 2013 with Parallon’s Business Performance Group’s Health Service Center in Tampa Bay, Florida; where she served as the first HIM Manager Trainee. She acquired her bachelors’ degree from Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University (FAMU) in 2013; proceeded by her Master’s Degree in Business from the University of Phoenix in 2016. Currently, she is the Director of Health Information Management (HIM) and Facility Privacy Official at Blake Medical Center in Bradenton, Florida. She has a strong background in privacy and security, release of information, transition implantation, and facility health information management process improvement.
Jessyca currently serves on the Florida Health Information Management (FHIMA) Board of Director’s and has been a member of AHIMA and FHIMA since 2011. She currently resides in Parrish, FL and in her spare time she is embracing the current chapter of her life as a new wife and mother to her son that recently turned 1 on June 2nd. She is a firm believer that you get out of the world what you give, so volunteerism is not an option to her; but a duty. Her favorite quote is, “At the end of the day, it’s not about what you have or even what you’ve accomplished. It is about who you’ve lifted up. Who you’ve made better. It’s about what you’ve given back.” – Denzel Washington
