Bobbi Jo Hurst, MBA, BSN, RN, COHN-S, SGE
After becoming a Registered Nurse 1978 I worked as a staff nurse in step down and critical care units and became certified as a Critical Care RN. During this time I obtained my BSN degree. Since that time I have worked as an Occupational Health Nurse first in a poultry processing plant and since 1993 I have worked in Healthcare. During this time I became certified as a COHN-S, obtained my MBA and became a Special Government Employee with OSHA’s VPP program. My current role is Manager of Employee and Health and Safety. My current position involves, managing a self-insured workers compensation program, treatment of work related injuries, establishment of a telemedicine program, managing immunization, bloodborne pathogen programs, respiratory protection programs, overseeing the ergonomic programs for employees and acting as the injury prevention provider for all of LGHealth’s self insured entities. In this role I am responsible to evaluate and trend work related injuries and provide programs to reduce injuries. Since 2007 I have managed the OSHA VPP program for Lancaster General Hospital (Star site) and assist OSHA with VPP inspections as a Special Government Employee I have served as three terms as President of the local chapter of the Association of Occupational Health Professionals in Healthcare, served on the National Board as the Regional Director of Northeast PA and am currently the AOHP National Liaison working with OSHA, CDC and other regulatory bodies.
Bree McGrath
Bree McGrath has more than 15 years of experience managing and leading teams to create and provide innovative patient and clinician services which improve the overall healthcare experience for all. She communicates effectively with cross-functional medical staff and technical teams, realizing optimal development of improved processes in healthcare delivery. Effective leadership, inventive problem-solving, and careful organizational skills have resulted in a record of strong program management, team leadership, and positive outcomes.
Most recently Bree has specialized in supporting health systems that utilize artificial intelligence to detect anomalies in clinical workflows which can indicate inappropriate use of the Electronic Medical Record. Anomalies in clinical workflow also lead to detecting Drug Diversion events as well as drug policy violations.
Bree attended the University of Wisconsin -Madison for her undergraduate degree and holds a Masters of Science in Health Communication from Boston University.
Russell Dorsey
Russell Dorsey is a Customer Success Manager at Protenus where he collaborates with healthcare facilities to deliver value through healthcare compliance analytics in proactive privacy and diversion monitoring.
Russell is a nationally certified pharmacy technician with more than a decade of operations and leadership experience in various pharmacy settings.
Russell has been recognized by the Arkansas Association of Health-System Pharmacists for his work in structuring proactive diversion monitoring programs. Russell volunteers on the board of advisors for HealthcareDiversion.org, a non-profit organization striving to develop transparency into drug diversion.
Russell holds a Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Central Arkansas.
Diane Ferry, MS, RHIA
Diane E. Ferry, M.S., RHIA, is president and CEO of Star-Med LLC, a Delaware company she started more than 19 years ago to provide customized solutions in Health Information Management (HIM) services to hospitals and physicians’ offices. Before starting Star-Med, She was a Director of HIM at several academic medical centers and was Chief Operating Officer of a national Health Information Management (HIM) company serving more than 400 facilities nationwide.
Diane has a bachelor’s degree in Health Information Management and a master’s degree in Health Care Administration. She is active in the Delaware community, she was campaign co-chair for the Nemours/A.I. duPont Hospital for Children, and serves on the boards of the Delaware Lacrosse Foundation, the National Board of the National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO), the Lewes Yacht Club Foundation, the Executive Board of the New Castle County Chamber of Commerce . Diane also serves on the Advisory boards of Strategic Solutions and Art Fitness. Diane is a leader in her profession. She has served as President of the Delaware Health Information Management Association twice and is a frequent presenter at educational seminars. She has taught in the health information management program at Delaware Technical College. In addition, she is active in supporting women in business, having twice been elected President of the Delaware chapter of the National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO). She was recently selected as the New Castle County Entrepreneurial Business Woman of the Year and NAWBO-Delaware Business Woman of the Year. Diane served on the National Board of the National Association of Women Business Owners –NAWBO.
