Attendees will learn why it is sometimes difficult to provide an “easy” solution to their needs. Being a technology leader involves a delicate balance between what is realistic and what users sometimes want. Many times we run out of the pixie dust and just need to do what the present technology allows.
Learning Objectives:
- Understand what is involved in getting from idea to reality.
- Learn how to work with a technology leader to develop your ideas.
1.0 – Organizational Management and Leadership

Revenue leakage remains one of the most pressing challenges for healthcare finance leaders, with inaccurate patient identification and duplicate records emerging as costly yet often overlooked culprits. These errors not only drain millions in lost revenue and denied claims each year but also erode clinical quality, disrupt operations, and undermine investments in advanced revenue cycle management (RCM) technologies. This session will explore how a clean Master Person Index (MPI) serves as the foundation for revenue integrity, enabling hospitals to maximize reimbursement, protect care coordination, and realize the full value of emerging technologies.
Learning Objectives:
- Understand how patient misidentification drives denied claims and revenue leakage.
- Recognize the impact of incomplete patient data on quality metrics and value-based care.
- Learn practical strategies for cleaning up and preventing future duplicate records.
1.0 – Informatics, Analytics, and Data Use
Robin Linker, CHCA, CHCAS, CHCRA, CPC-I, CCS-P, MCS-P, CPC-P, CHC
