Michelle Galindo, RHIA, CCS, CPC

Michelle has been in the healthcare field for about 30 years, with the past 20 years on the Acute Care side in HIMS Coding and 10 years on the Physician side. She currently works for Banner Healthcare as the Sr. Coding Quality Analyst Manager. Michelle’s healthcare experience includes, Acute Care Coding Management and Coder IP/OP, RAC Coordinator/auditor, Adjunct Instructor at Front Range Community College for the HIT Program, Medical Transcription and Supervisor all aspects of Physician Billing and coding. Michelle has participated in multiple system implementations including EPIC, SMART, 3M 360, Meditech, to name a few. She is currently in the process of obtaining her Masters in Health Informatics. Michelle has had the privilege of speaking at CHIMA Spring Meetings, AHIMA RAC Virtual Meeting, as well as CHIMA ICD-10 Road Show and AzHIMA Round Table Michelle has a passion for educating and training coders and looks for opportunities where her skill set can be utilized to help others in their coding career journey. AHIMA Approved ICD10-CM/PCS Trainer through 2016.

Heather Guscott, MS, RHIA

Heather Guscott, RHIA has 14 years of experience in Health Information Management, revenue cycle and outpatient/professional coding. She has a Bachelor’s Degree in Health Information Administration with an RHIA credential and a Master’s degree in Project management. Heather is originally from Minnesota but has called Arizona her home for the last 20 years.

Heather volunteers with AzHIMA as the Committee Chairperson for the Social media committee and she’s also part of the Education and Annual Conference committees.

She currently works at Mayo Clinic as the Denial Coding Supervisor for all Mayo Clinic sites.

In her spare time (when she has any!), Heather enjoys hiking in the Grand Canyon, traveling, camping, geocaching and reading.

Crystal Champaigne, RHIA, CCS, CRC

Crystal Champaigne, RHIA, CCS, CRC is a Remote Outpatient Coder for AMN Healthcare for a cancer treatment/research hospital. Crystal believes that ensuring accuracy in coding not only provides excellent patient service to those who visit the facility but also helps the hospital obtain quick and accurate billing. Crystal holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Health Information Management from Southern New Hampshire University and was selected to be a member of The National Society of Leadership and Success. She has a love of learning and of sharing what she has learned with those around her. Crystal is also a member of AHIMA and an active member of AzHIMA where she is the Coding Roundtable Coordinator. In her spare time, Crystal enjoys long road trips where she and her husband, Doug, look for and find micro-breweries, to sample the local flavor.
