Michelle Galindo, RHIA, CCS, CPC

Michelle has been in the healthcare field for about 30 years, with the past 20 years on the Acute Care side in HIMS Coding and 10 years on the Physician side. She currently works for Banner Healthcare as the Sr. Coding Quality Analyst Manager. Michelle’s healthcare experience includes, Acute Care Coding Management and Coder IP/OP, RAC Coordinator/auditor, Adjunct Instructor at Front Range Community College for the HIT Program, Medical Transcription and Supervisor all aspects of Physician Billing and coding. Michelle has participated in multiple system implementations including EPIC, SMART, 3M 360, Meditech, to name a few , and is currently involved with testing applications for ICD10 at Banner Healthcare. Michelle has had the privilege of speaking at CHIMA Spring Meetings, AHIMA RAC Virtual Meeting, as well as CHIMA ICD-10 Road Show. Michelle has a passion for educating and training coders and looks for opportunities where her skill set can be utilized to help others in their coding career journey. AHIMA Approved ICD10-CM/PCS Trainer through 2016.

Heather Guscott, RHIA

Heather Guscott, RHIA worked in Outpatient coding for twelve years as a coder, a coding quality review auditor, a trainer and finally, for the last 5 years as a Hospital Outpatient Team Lead. Heather earned her Bachelor’s degree in Health Information Administration from Stephen’s College in Columbia, Missouri and recently completed a Master’s degree in Project Management. She actively volunteers for AzHIMA as the chair of the Social Media committee, as a member of the Annual Meeting Committee and the Coding Roundtable Committee. In her free time, Heather enjoys hiking in the Grand Canyon, camping and participating in trail & road races in Arizona and various other states.


Sundae is a Certified Outpatient Coder with Dignity Health. She has been certified and coding outpatient procedures since December 2007. She started as a biller then transitioned into coding and was fortunate to start in Trauma and Surgery, which she fell in love with. Sundae is working on finishing her Bachelor’s Degree in HIM at WGU and looks forward to achieving her goal of inpatient coding. 

Sundae is currently the President of SNvHIMA and enjoys discussing ideas on how to get members excited and engaged in local and state activities.
