Optimizing the Human-Technology Interface for Revenue Management Improvement
Kim Gallagher
In the healthcare industry, the RCM team is constantly on the search for ways to make their organization’s revenue cycle more efficient and cost-effective. This hunt often leads down the route of investing in technology. And while technology can greatly enhance the management of the revenue cycle, optimizing the human-technology interface is the single most beneficial investment a healthcare organization can make for RCM improvement. The success of a healthcare revenue cycle is contingent on the implementation of a simple yet fundamental process, education. Education cannot simply stop at the initial training phase of deployment; education is an ongoing and iterative process. The key moments of educational need (new, apply, more, change, solve) is a strategic framework that focuses on the knowledge lifecycle. This session will discuss the strategic educational framework and the cultural change that must occur to implement this framework within your organization’s healthcare revenue cycle.
Learning Objectives:
– How to initiate the cultural change needed to implement a strategic framework based in education
– The key educational moments of need and how solving for them can positively impact the revenue cycle
– Benefits of investing in your revenue cycle staff’s education for the betterment of your organization’s revenue cycle
