Cheryl Evans, MHRM, RHIA, CCS, has served in the HIM community across the United States for over 35 years.  A variety of facilities have been her home during this tenure, including a pediatric therapy clinic for special needs children, a skilled nursing facility, and an inpatient rehabilitation hospital.  Cheryl worked on everything from contract negotiations to coding and breach mitigation.  Preparing statistical representations of quality information and performance improvement has been among her favorite HIM tasks.  Recently, she was selected to represent WHIMA as a committee co-leader and elected director to the board.  Waukesha County Technical College is her current work arena, where she serves as a health information and medical coding instructor as well as the student club advisor.
