Barb Miller is an Inpatient Coder at Children’s MN. She has worked in the HIM profession for 25 years and has spoken at the AHIMA Convention & Exhibit Clinical Coding Meeting, MnHIMA Annual Conference, and the monthly MnHIMA Webinars and Coding Roundtables. She volunteers with MnHIMA and has held volunteer positions with AHIMA. She brings coding, auditing, and teaching experience and has coding experience in inpatient, outpatient, NCCI Edits, trauma, professional, clinic, denials, and various other types of hospital and clinic encounters. She has held positions as a 3M Nosology Services Analyst, Operations Manager, Coding Validation Assistant Manager, Coding Validation Specialist, RAC Team Lead, DRG Auditor, Hospital and Clinic Coding Supervisor, Traveling Medical Coding, Coding Program Director and Instructor, Inpatient and Outpatient Hospital Coder, Professional ED Coder, Clinic Coder, and an Emergency Medical Technician. Barb graduated in 1997 with an AAS Degree in Health Information Technology.
